Article – Europe: warlike continent
A note from Mouood Asr Institute:
Joseph Borrell, the European Union Foreign Policy deputy, has recently insulted other nationalities outside the European continent; by calling Europe a garden. This person has considered others savages who have watched the attack on this Green Civilized Garden! in history. Mouad Asr Institute has translated this article and presented it to our readers to prove the negligence of these ridiculous statements. Einstein said two things have no end, the galaxy, and human ignorance.
Fars news; Note – Mohsen Pakayin: Ayatollah Khamenei, the leader of the Islamic Revolution, on May 28, 2022, in a meeting with the members of the Islamic Council, said: “Europe is one of the most war-prone regions in the world. Now, based on my conclusions – which may not be complete – I do not know of any point in the world with the width and length of Europe – that is, with the latitude and longitude of Europe – where there has been as much war as there has been in Europe; in any part of the world; “Europe is a hot spot.” June 24, 2022
About the history of European wars, although the aggression of Greece against Iran in the Achaemenid era can be considered a Euro-Asian war, it was a significant part of the wars of the Roman Empire between 800 and 1050 AD for three centuries in Europe. However, the Levant and Mesopotamia Muslims were not safe from the consequences of the Eastern Roman wars. The rise of war in Europe since then began with the two main goals of conquering the country and promoting Christianity.
In 1337 AD, Edward III, King of England, declared war on Philip VI, King of France, to conquer the country. Edward believed that he owned the French government, and because of this, the 116-year war between the two European countries began. In this long war, the English won in the regions of Crecy, Poitiers, and Agincourt, but the French, under the command of Jean-Darque, pushed back the English invaders in 1453 AD.
With the beginning of The Religious Wars in 1095, Pope Urban II forced European Christians to rise against Muslims and reclaim the city of Jerusalem, located in Palestine. The same year, a large army was prepared and set off for the first.

Crusade. Many Crusaders lost their lives, although they occupied Jerusalem in 1099 AD. Between 1099 and 1250 AD, six more Crusades took place for the so-called “promotion of Christianity” and ignored the pacifist and humanitarian goals of Jesus.
Religious Wars continued, and France witnessed sectarian conflicts between Catholics and Protestants between 1562 and 1598. These conflicts created fights between French aristocratic families such as the Bourbon and the Guise dynasties. Although the exact number of casualties and the duration of the religious wars are not antiseptic, most historians acknowledge the significant number of war victims.
The 30-year war in Europe also took place from 1618 to 1648 as a religious conflict between the Catholic and Protestant governments in the Roman Empire. According to “History” magazine, it continued with more than 8 million victims of military battles, famine, and disease. This war was one of the longest and most brutal wars in history.
The famous wars of Napoleon Bonaparte as an officer of the French Revolution, which took place intending to conquer the country, are another part of the history of the rise of war in Europe. At the end years of its reign, Russia refused the French order to blockade England economically. Hence Napoleon attacked Russia with seven hundred thousand people, most of whom were non-French, and captured Moscow. After a while, Napoleon’s army returned to France due to the severe cold in Russia and went to war with the united European states and was defeated.
At the end of the 19th century, the expansionist Prussia Chancellor Bismarck went to war with Denmark, Austria, and Franc for German unification. Conquering France in 1871, he finalized it. Hence France was occupied d by Germany. During the mentioned period, France got involved in a devastating civil war with many casualties.
At the beginning of the 20th century and in August 1914, the First World War began in Europe between Germany as the leader of the Axis Powers and the Allied forces led by France and Great Britain and lasted for four years. At the beginning of the war, millions of people in Europe supported the decision of their rulers to enter the war by dancing and stomping on the streets in the big cities. Shortly after that, the First World War victims and the destruction of European cities made the taste of the people of this continent bitter.
The First World War tore apart four European empires, including Germany, Austria, and Hungary, and the Russian Empire also fell into the hands of the Bolshevik revolutionaries. About 10 million people died in this war.
In September 1939, Adolf Hitler, the leader of Germany, decided to become an absolute power in Europe, and the Second World War began. But after 1943, the Allied forces, consisting of American, Soviet, and British Forces, prevailed over Germany. More than twenty million Europeans died in this war.
According to historians, the first half of the 20th century was the most violent period in the history of Europe, full of war, killing, looting, and deliberate destruction of ethnic and cultural communities. Although the deadly wars in Europe subsided in the late 1950s, the repeated aggression of European governments against their people and violations of human rights continued, and the 20th century was called the “century of violence in Europe.
Major wars continued in Europe as a “war-prone continent” of various types, including civil war, wars of conquest, religious conflicts, and occupation of colonies, after the First and Second World Wars, like the Turkish-Greek War, the Spanish Civil War, the Balkan Wars (Former Yugoslavia). The wars of European colonialists in other continents like Rwanda led to the people genocide. At the same time Wikipedia or the free encyclopedia in a report titled “Category: Wars of European States and People” to 76 cases of war mentioned in Europe.
These wars thwarted Europe’s propaganda to show a modern and democratic continent and made the true face of the warmongers of this continent and their hidden goals against humanity clear. In these wars, the claimants of defending human rights turned to humanity’s destruction and the physical elimination of human beings. It erased the issue that was the defense of human rights.
Now the provocation of the US and European countries and Russia’s attack on Ukraine has begun a devastating war in Europe, the war zone of the world. This war has faced world countries with food shortages, energy crises, economic problems, increasing military threats, creating management problems. It has exposed global security to serious harm from the countries that consider themselves the guardians of the world’s security.
Considering the inability of the United Nations to contain the conflict, peace-loving and anti-war countries must unite and reduce the harsh effects of war on other parts of the world by taking necessary measures.
