Fars International News Agency – the African Union security forces expelled the Zionist regime delegation from the opening session. According to the report of Ma’a News Agency, the Israeli delegation entered the African Union session using the identification cards of other people. The security forces discovered this matter and expelled them from the session.
The report says; the Zionist delegation claimed that they were invited to the opening session. However, the Israelis could not prove the claim and were expelled from the meeting.
At the end of the report the Ma’a News Agency says, the expulsion of the Zionist delegation proves that the African countries have not decided about the Zionists’ presence in the African Union yet.
In 2021, the head of the African Union Commission unilaterally introduced the Zionist regime as an observer member. The decision was opposed by several members. Algeria was one of them. After the protest of some members, the African Union postponed the decision to Tel Aviv membership last February.
The African Union, during its 35th meeting held in Addis Ababa, proposed to postpone Tel-Aviv membership. A committee of 7 presidents reviews the issue and will decide accordingly.
