Scores of people in the northeastern city of Tabriz demonstrated in front of the Consulate General of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Thursday to express their protest to the violence against Muslims in the Azeri city of Nardaran.
The demonstrators chanted slogans in support of the Islamic sanctities and called for an end to the violent behavior against Shia Muslims around the world.
They also objected to the violence against Shia Muslims in Azerbaijan Republic during the mourning procession to commemorate Imam Hossein (AS).
The rally in support of the Nardaran villagers to the north of capital Baku who have been subject to fatal violence in recent days, ended after ralliers condemned killing and wounding the Shia Azerbaijanis over performing their religious practices.
